National Library Day 2026

National Library Day Celebration

National Librarian Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 12 August 2026 at Jagadguru Narendracharyaji Maharaj Educational Institute, Nanij. The Chief Executive Officer of the Sansthan, Hon.Thakurji, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Principal of the school, Dr. Mrs. Abolee Patil , and the Principal of the Veda Pathshala, Mr. Bhosale, were also prominently present.

The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sunil Thakur. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. During the programme, students spoke about the importance of National Librarian Day and expressed their thoughts. The students also presented songs based on libraries and books.

The school teacher, Mrs. Paste, expressed her thoughts on the occasion. Thereafter, the school Principal, Dr. Mrs. Abolee Patil , guided and encouraged the students.

In his address, the Chief Guest, Sunil Thakur highlighted the importance of books and encouraged the students to develop a regular reading habit. He explained that books enhance knowledge, develop the ability to think, and play an important role in shaping one’s personality.

On the occasion of National Librarian Day, various competitions were organized in the school, including Greeting Card Making, Poster Making, Thought/Wise Saying Writing, and Book Review competitions. The students participated enthusiastically in all the competitions. The winners were felicitated and awarded prizes by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

A Book Exhibition was also organized in the school. The students participated enthusiastically and explored various books and gained information from them.

The programme was composed by Kumari Aastha Patil and Kumari Rishita Mali, students of Class VI. Kumari Gauri Jadhav proposed the vote of thanks.

All the teachers of the school extended their valuable cooperation for the successful organization of the programme. The Library Teacher, Mr. Wakode , took special efforts in preparing for the event. The successful organization of the entire programme was also made possible through the valuable guidance of the institution’s Chairman, Arjun Phule,The various activities of the school are successfully conducted with the blessings of Jagadguru Narendracharyaji Maharaj.

The National Librarian Day programme helped create an interest in books among the students and made them aware of the importance of reading, books, and libraries. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the programme enjoyable, inspiring, and successful.
