The school celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi with immense devotion, enthusiasm, and cultural splendour on Saturday, 25th July 2026. The celebration was organized with the objective of acquainting students with the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Warkari Sampradaya while fostering values of devotion, unity, humility, and respect for Indian traditions.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, invoking the blessings of the Almighty for the successful conduct of the event. This was followed by a vibrant Dindi Procession, in which students, dressed in traditional Warkari attire and carrying saffron flags, enthusiastically marched while singing devotional Abhangs and chanting the holy name of Lord Vitthal. 

After the procession departed from the school, all the students entered the main entrance of the temple. At that moment,   Jagadguru Ramanandacharyaji Shri Swami Narendracharyaji arrived and captivated the students, teachers, and parents by gracefully dancing to the rhythm of the devotional Abhangs. Inspired by his presence, all the students enthusiastically joined in, singing and dancing with great devotion and joy, making the celebration truly memorable.

Following the procession, the gathering assembled in the Mukhya Mandir, where the dignitaries were warmly welcomed  upon their arrival by the school management, Principal Dr. Patil Abolee , all teachers, students and some parents with great respect and enthusiasm.

The chief guests for the programme were Gurumata Mrs Supriya Tai Surve,  Mrs Omeshwari Surve(Vahinisaheb) , Mr. Shantaram Dardi(Trustee of JNM Sansthan) , Dr . Abolee Patil(Principal of the school) & Mr Kirtikumar Bhosle  ( Principal of Vedpathshala & the senior most teacher).

A felicitation ceremony was then held to honour the Chief Guests. They were welcomed with bouquets and shawls,  as a token of gratitude and appreciation for their gracious presence. 

The cultural programme began with soulful Abhang renditions by the students of Class 4th, followed by devotional performances by the students of Classes 3rd and 4th. The student of Class 11th (Science) further enriched the programme with melodious Abhang that filled the surroundings with spiritual fervour.

A graceful devotional dance performance was presented by Miss Samiksha Pawar(Student of Class 11th Commerce)and Miss Swati Chavan (Assistant Teacher), which beautifully depicted the spirit of devotion and received wholehearted appreciation from the audience.

Mast.Devyogi Surve (Class 4th)  narrated the story of Saint Gora Kumbhar, a devoted potter and true follower of Lord Vitthal. He beautifully explained how Saint Gora Kumbhar remained dedicated to his work and devotion, teaching everyone the values of faith, honesty, humility, and selfless service.

The programme also featured a captivating Bharud performed by Class 6th students that highlighted Maharashtra's rich folk tradition while conveying meaningful social and moral values.

An enchanting musical instrumental performance by Mast.Harsh Devalekar   added charm to the celebration, mesmerizing everyone with its devotional melodies.

One of the most memorable highlights of the event was the energetic Ringan performance by the students. Their enthusiastic participation recreated the sacred ambience of the Pandharpur Wari and reflected the vibrant traditions of the Warkari movement.

Today's chief guest, Gurumata Mrs. Supriya Tai Surve enlightened the students about the spiritual significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi. She sang devotional Abhangs and actively involved the students in the singing. As the temple echoed with the chanting of "Vitthal Nam", she captivated everyone present. The students were completely immersed in the devotional atmosphere, participating with great enthusiasm and devotion.

Likewise, Mrs. Omeshwari Surve (Vahinisaheb) explained the importance of tree plantation to all the students through the lines of the devotional Abhang, "Vrukshavalli Amha Soyare...". She beautifully conveyed its deeper meaning, inspiring the students to understand the significance of protecting and nurturing nature.

The programme was beautifully anchored by the students  Mast . Makarand Thombare (Class 8th ) & Miss Aadya Sawant  ( Class 9th) whose confident and graceful compering ensured the smooth flow of every segment of the celebration.

The event concluded with the Aarti and the chanting of '' Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthal' Gajar, in which students, teachers, and staff members participated with great devotion, creating a spiritually uplifting and memorable conclusion to the celebration.

The Ashadhi Ekadashi celebration was a grand success and served as a meaningful platform for students to experience and appreciate Maharashtra's rich cultural and spiritual traditions. The programme not only strengthened their understanding of the significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi but also inspired them to uphold the timeless values of devotion, unity, discipline, and respect for our cultural heritage.
