Report on Savitribai Phule's Birth Anniversary Celebration

Our school, J.N.M.E.I.,NANIJ commemorated the birth anniversary of the pioneering social reformer and India's first female teacher, Savitribai Phule, on 3rd of January , 2026, with a vibrant program aimed at honoring her immense contributions to women's education and empowerment. The event successfully educated students about her courageous fight against casteism, child marriage, and Sati, inspiring them to uphold her ideals.

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and worship of the portraits of Savitribai Phule and worshipping the Goddess sarasvati setting a respectful tone by today's chief guest Principal Dr Abolee Patil ma'am and lady teachers.

The students from class 1st to 8th delivered powerful speeches and poems as well as the Pre-primary section's students performed various role play acts on Savitribai Phule's life, highlighting her journey, challenges, and her joint efforts with Jyotirao Phule to establish schools for girls and marginalized communities.

The program was moderated by Mrs.Deshmukh Rupali ma'am , Miss Vairkar Tanaya ma'am delivered her valuable views and Miss.Shinde Pooja ma'am gave the vote of thanks for today's program.

The celebration was a resounding success, fostering a deeper appreciation for Savitribai Phule's revolutionary spirit. It served as a vital reminder of her dedication to education as a tool for liberation, encouraging all students, especially girls, to pursue knowledge and contribute to a more equitable society.
